Career Summary:

Carmela’s focus is on leasing, selling and purchasing commercial and industrial space as well as land acquisition for future development in Northern Virginia. Carmela has 20 years’ experience dealing with, zoning, land use, permits, transportation issues, proffer negotiation, and demographic analysis. Carmela brings her experience in urban and regional planning in Northern Virginia to her real estate practice. She worked for the Prince William County Planning Office and has a firsthand knowledge of the history of the development and growth that has occurred in Prince William in the past decades. She worked for Arlington County,Va., in planning and community development which provided a broad range of experience in dealing with various governmental groups and citizens. After leaving the county she started her own business to work as a consultant providing assistance to property owners, businesses, and developers in obtaining approval of rezoning and special use permits, site plans and other governmental permits. Being a native of Northern Virginia, she is well versed in development trends, and uses the combination of her land planning and real estate background as a member of the Prince William County Board Of Equalization, deciding on commercial and residential tax assessment appeals.
